It has taken me years to find the courage to do this. In the next few episodes of @rachelinterrupted , I’ll begin sharing my story—the 13 months I spent in a troubled youth program in Provo, Utah, in 2004. In this installment, Amanda shares her incredible story of escaping lockdown and surviving the streets as a 14 year old. Unfortunately, her experience is not uncommon at schools like these. I’m not here to place blame, pass judgment, or get anyone in trouble. I simply want to share my experience and tell my side of the story.
